Professor Wilhelm Loth | Professor Peter Dreher
Ralf de Moll studied in the sculpture class of Professor Wilhelm Loth and Christiane Dellbrügge attended the painting class of Professor Peter Dreher at the Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe. On our request both let us have a passport photograph which we enlarged. In the exhibition the portraits were presented in the space "Academy" together with a series of a nude model based on photographs from the 1950s.
A series of computer-generated "Psychograms" of the artists as well as "Blind Drawings" constituted the space "Artists" in the exhibition.
Social Control / Encyclopedic Drawings
children chairs and slate pencil drawings
collection Museum für Neue Kunst Freiburg, 1991
Nine wooden children chairs are placed side by side in a strict formation situated frontally as a block. The positioning of bodies decides upon their individual scope of action, the relation between self-empowerment and heteronomy.
If somebody has invested a great deal of effort into constructing order into a seemingly contigent and meaningless world, he won't be willing to give up this construction if only because he takes these orders for discovered instead of contrived.
In using this predisposition the installation combines three standard plant pots withcomputer generated images and animations suggesting the scientific plant investigations and experiments.
